Which terms apply?

Moss Men Surrey Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17494057.

Our registered office is 55 Wolsey Close, Worcester Park, KT4 7EF. Contact [email protected] or 01483 387251 about a quote or these terms. Sending a website enquiry does not book work or create a charge.

The contract starts when you accept a written quote and we confirm the booking. Before acceptance, the quote should set out the work, total price, payment arrangements, timing and cancellation information in a form you can keep. These terms and any quote cannot take away your statutory consumer rights.

What does the written quote cover?

Your written quote identifies the roof area, proposed method, included work, access equipment, total price and agreed timing. Website starting prices are guides. Any change to the scope or price needs your agreement before the extra work is done.

Manual moss removal is priced from £599, including gutter clearing, Pureseal Bac Clear Pro and a three-year moss-free guarantee.

Our team uses ladders, roof ladders and mobile towers, with a cherry picker when the job requires one. Any cherry picker or scaffolding charge is extra and shown in the written quote.

Moss Men Surrey is not VAT registered. Your final quoted price has no added VAT.

No deposit is required, with payment due on completion unless a different arrangement is clearly set out in your written quote and agreed before booking. Payment methods and any due date belong in the quote.

Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply to a service booked at a distance or away from business premises, you normally have 14 days after the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Contact us by phone, email or post with a clear statement that you wish to cancel; using a particular form is not compulsory. If required cancellation information is missing, the legal cancellation period can be longer.

Work during that period needs your express request; for a contract made away from business premises, that request must be in a form you can keep. If you then cancel, a proportionate charge for work already supplied is payable only where the legal conditions, including the required information, have been met. The cancellation right ends after full performance only if you requested the early start and acknowledged that consequence beforehand.

Following a valid statutory cancellation, any refund due must be made without undue delay and within 14 days after we are told, subject to a lawful charge for requested work already supplied. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. The written quote must include the required cancellation information and model cancellation form before you agree to the contract. Outside a statutory cancellation period, ask us about changing the booking; any agreed charges must be lawful and stated in the quote.

How does the guarantee work?

If moss regrows within three years of treatment, we return to reapply biocide free of charge.

The three-year term starts on the treatment date. This guarantee adds to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires reasonable care and skill. If the service does not meet the contract, you may be entitled to have the affected work performed again at no extra cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Where the legal conditions for a price reduction apply, this may include a refund, due without undue delay and within 14 days after agreement that you are entitled to it.

If our team damages your roof while cleaning, the repairs are included. Existing defects are considered separately when the team looks at your roof.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights.

How can you raise a concern?

Contact [email protected] or call 01483 387251 with your quote reference, if you have one, and explain what went wrong and what you would like us to do. You can also write to the registered office. Include photographs only if they help explain the concern.

The team acknowledges your concern within five working days, investigates it with Dave and explains the outcome or next step within 14 calendar days. If more time is needed, the team explains why and agrees an update date. These service targets do not extend any legal deadline.

If a complaint cannot be resolved, the final response should explain any available alternative dispute resolution route and whether we will take part. These terms do not claim membership of a dispute resolution scheme. You remain free to seek independent advice or use the courts.
