Roof cleaning in Virginia Water
Moss Men Surrey offers roof cleaning in Virginia Water, with a written quote within 24 hours and a method suited to your roof.
What your Virginia Water roof can take would be worked out by Dave, who has cleaned roofs since 2004, with his two sons.
What should you tell us about your roof in Virginia Water?
Trotsworth Avenue in Virginia Water has both dormer bungalows and detached houses. For a roof with dormers or several levels, photographs from the garden can show how those sections meet. Include the space beside the house so we can check access and explain any picker or scaffolding charge in your quote.

Which roofs in Virginia Water can take roof pressure washing?
Roof pressure washing in Virginia Water suits natural slate and modern clay tiles, so a slate roof like those on the St Ann's townhouses may qualify once the slate is confirmed as natural. Man-made slate can end up looking worse once cleaned, which you are warned about first. Tiled roofs, such as the pitched roofs of Trumps Green's post-war houses and of Station Approach, are cleaned by hand when the tiles are concrete or clay.
If you know whether your slate is natural or man-made, mention it in your quote request.
| Type of home | Share of households |
|---|---|
| Detached | 51.4% |
| Semi-detached | 20.2% |
| Terraced | 10.1% |
| Flat or maisonette | 17.5% |
| Caravan or mobile home | 0.7% |
Does Wentworth's woodland affect moss on Virginia Water roofs?
It can: Wentworth was laid out around a golf course in a woodland setting, and moss tends to flourish on roofs near trees, where conditions are shady and damp. Ancient woodland lies between the two parts of Knowle Grove, Trotsworth Avenue is landscaped with trees and grass verges, and Wentworth West's plots are edged with boundary hedging instead of walls.
If woodland or a tall hedge stands close to your house, photograph the slope beside it and add it to your quote request.
Which cleaning method suits your roof?
Your roof can be cleaned by Moss Men Surrey using manual moss removal or roof pressure washing (hot, low-pressure steam). The team checks your roof covering, its condition and access before recommending either method.
| Service | Which roofs it suits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Manual moss removal | Manual moss removal suits concrete tiles, clay tiles and natural slate. The covering and its condition decide whether scraping is right for your roof; product-specific manufacturer advice can rule it out. | From £599. |
| Roof pressure washing | Roof pressure washing suits natural slate and modern clay tiles, once the team has checked the covering, its condition, access and the manufacturer's guidance. | Starts at around £750, depending on the roof; written quote within 24 hours. |
What does manual moss removal include?
Manual moss removal for a Virginia Water home is from £599, and the three-year moss-free guarantee comes with gutter clearing and Pureseal Bac Clear Pro.
The biocide is the treatment we apply after removing moss.
Ridge tiles, hip tiles, valleys, verges and gutters are checked on every roof. Ridges are the top joins, hips are the sloping joins, and verges are the roof edges.
If our team damages your roof while cleaning, the repairs are included. Existing defects are considered separately when the team looks at your roof.
Artificial slate can look worse after cleaning. We discuss that risk with you before any work.
We never cold call; we check for nesting birds and bats first and stop if we find them; we check cement slates for asbestos before any work.

I was recommended to the Moss Men and they completed a full roof clean/ gutters and biocide treatment on my house roof yesterday.
I have quite tricky access but it was all taken care of and I am so pleased with the results. There was a lot of moss as I live by a river..and it's all gone and looks revived. Dave is a lovely guy to deal with , very professional and everything was all cleaned up after.
I would highly recommend.Read Rosie Charlton's review on Google
