What do Shepperton's clay tile and slate roofs need when cleaned?
Clay tile roofs in Shepperton need the manual scrape, and its natural slate roofs can have either the scrape or roof pressure washing, a clean with hot, low-pressure steam. Around the old village, clay tiles are the usual covering on brick houses, and the roofscape mixes single and double pitched, hipped and mansard roofs with parapets. In Lower Halliford, roofs mix clay tiles and slate.
If your roof is a mansard or sits behind a parapet, photograph every side you can see when you ask for a quote.

Where can trees around Shepperton keep a roof damp enough for moss?
Trees can keep a Shepperton roof damp where they stand close to the house, and moss tends to flourish in shady, damp conditions like these. Russell Road has groups of trees under Tree Preservation Orders, dense woodland separates Lower Halliford from the village, and a mature willow shades the green at Ferry Square. North-facing slopes that dry slowly may attract moss as well.
Photograph the slope nearest any tree, and the north-facing one, and send them with your quote request.

We had a great experience with this company. They kindly rearranged their schedule at short notice to fit us in while the utility company had the road outside our house closed — which was essential as our roof can only safely be cleaned when the road is shut due to how close the house is to it. That flexibility was hugely appreciated.
They did a very thorough job and used a low-pressure air cleaning method rather than jet washing, which we understand can damage roof tiles. After the cleaning they also applied a biocide treatment, and the work comes with a 3-year guarantee.
The roof already looks much better and we’re looking forward to enjoying a moss-free roof for the next few years. Professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating — highly recommended.Read Giles Forrest's review on Google -

I recently had my roof cleaned by David and Callum, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish they were professional, friendly, and clearly took pride in their work. They arrived on time, explained the process, and worked efficiently while making sure everything was done safely and properly.
The difference in my roof is amazing – it looks so much cleaner and has really improved the overall appearance of the house. They were also very tidy, making sure everything was cleaned up afterwards.
David and Callum were both polite, hardworking, and clearly experienced. I would highly recommend their roof cleaning service to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality job. Thanks again for the fantastic work!Read d'Arcy Clarke's review on Google
