What should you tell us about your roof in Claygate?
Claygate Village and the Foley Estate are separate conservation areas. If you live in either, let us know about any property-specific requirements and roof alterations. You can send photographs of the main roof and smaller additions so we can quote for each covering and its access.
White foam across grey tiles by the verge.
When does a Claygate roof suit pressure washing?
When it is natural slate or a modern clay tile, the two coverings the steam method covers, while older clay tiles and concrete tiles are scraped by hand instead. Most buildings in the old village around The Green have pitched slate or clay tile roofs.
Check whether your roof is slate or tile before you ask for a quote, or include a photograph so the covering is clear.

What do Claygate's commons mean for roof moss?
For a house close to their trees, more shade, and a shady, damp roof is what moss tends to thrive on. Claygate lies between two wooded commons: Claygate Common, with its oak, hornbeam and beech, and Arbrook Common, part of the Esher Commons. Mature trees also frame the village centre around The Green and along Church Road.
If your garden meets either common, photograph the roof from that side and send it with your details.
Which cleaning method suits your roof?
Your roof can be cleaned by Moss Men Surrey using manual moss removal or roof pressure washing (hot, low-pressure steam). The team checks your roof covering, its condition and access before recommending either method.

Dave and his team did a fantastic job removing the moss from our entire roof. They arrived on time, worked incredibly hard throughout the day, and I was very impressed with their work ethic. They took extra care working around our solar panels, which we really appreciated, and completed the job to a very high standard. They also tidied up thoroughly and left our driveway exactly as they found it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dave and his team. Thank you again!

Service was amazing from start to finish. Great communication and the lads did an amazing job, even in the extreme heat we have had. They left the place tidier than when they arrived! Would definitely recommend.
