Roof cleaning in Camberley
Moss Men Surrey offers roof cleaning in Camberley, with a written quote within 24 hours and a method suited to your roof.
Camberley's slate and old clay tile roofs would be cleaned by a family team: Dave, cleaning roofs since 2004, and his sons.
What should you tell us about your roof in Camberley?
Camberley's former Staff College on London Road lies in a conservation area. If you live around it, tell us about any changes to your roof since the house was built. Photographs of replacement tiles, additions and the approach to your home help us prepare a quote for your property.

Why does Camberley slate have two cleaning options?
Because natural slate suits both the hand scrape and roof pressure washing, while older plain clay tiles take the scrape alone. Two officers' houses of 1808 on London Road and three 19th-century houses on Church Hill have slate roofs. Most of the 1897 and 1898 semis on Upper Gordon Road keep plain dark clay tile roofs, and slate or clay tiles are typical across the late Victorian, Edwardian and interwar streets just west of the town centre.
Tell us if your house has been re-roofed at some point, and send a photo so the present covering is clear.
| Type of home | Share of households |

| Detached | 41.4% |
| Semi-detached | 21.5% |

What makes a shaded Camberley roof prone to moss?
The damp that shade holds in: moss tends to flourish where trees close by leave a roof shady and damp. Substantial tree groups line the streets between Upper Gordon Road and Church Hill, and the large Victorian houses of Branksome Park Road and Church Hill stand in well-treed gardens. Conifers grow well on the local Bagshot sand, and one that overhangs a roof sheds needles on it as well as shading it, both of which encourage moss.
If conifers or tall hedges stand close to your house, photograph the roof slope beside them and send it with your quote request.
Which cleaning method suits your roof?
Your roof can be cleaned by Moss Men Surrey using manual moss removal or roof pressure washing (hot, low-pressure steam). The team checks your roof covering, its condition and access before recommending either method.
| Service | Which roofs it suits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Manual moss removal | Manual moss removal suits concrete tiles, clay tiles and natural slate. The covering and its condition decide whether scraping is right for your roof; product-specific manufacturer advice can rule it out. | From £599. |
| Roof pressure washing | Roof pressure washing suits natural slate and modern clay tiles, once the team has checked the covering, its condition, access and the manufacturer's guidance. | Starts at around £750, depending on the roof; written quote within 24 hours. |
What does manual moss removal include?
For a price from £599, manual moss removal clears your gutters, adds Pureseal Bac Clear Pro and gives a three-year moss-free guarantee.
The biocide is the treatment we apply after removing moss.
Ridge tiles, hip tiles, valleys, verges and gutters are checked on every roof. Ridges are the top joins, hips are the sloping joins, and verges are the roof edges.
If our team damages your roof while cleaning, the repairs are included. Existing defects are considered separately when the team looks at your roof.
Artificial slate can look worse after cleaning. We discuss that risk with you before any work.
We never cold call; we check for nesting birds and bats first and stop if we find them; we check cement slates for asbestos before any work.

David and his team did a fantastic job on my moss and algae covered roof. It is now spotless and has rejuvenated the look of the place. The team worked incredibly hard for 3 days in the hot weather, and really went the extra mile when cleaning up to leave the property sparkling. Very happy indeed with the service.

The Moss Men, comprising of David and his team of two arrived punctually and were respectful of our property and surroundings. They worked diligently throughout the day clearing up mess continually as they progressed with the job of clearing moss off of our roof which had been untouched since the house was built in 2000!
The removal of all the moss was successful and we are now waiting for the Biocide treatment used to complete its cycle which can take up to 12 weeks to see the real difference. But the moss has stopped falling off our roof which is just what we wanted!
We were not looking forward to having the job done although it needed to be desperately but the professional way the work was carried out made the whole experience much better than anticipated!!
We would have no hesitation recommending The Moss Men to friends and family!Read Lauri Myers's review on Google
