What should you tell us about your roof in Byfleet?
Byfleet's High Road includes late Victorian and early Edwardian buildings around the village's historic core. If your roof has decorative edges or later additions, send separate photographs of those details. Include the full address so we can find the right property and explain which parts the cleaning quote covers.

Do Byfleet's concrete tile roofs suit steam?
No: concrete tiles are cleaned by hand, since roof pressure washing covers only natural slate and modern clay tiles. Byfleet's inter-war and early post-war houses often have hipped clay tile or concrete tile roofs, while older buildings along the High Street and Church Road are generally red brick under red or brown clay tiles. A few listed houses carry slate instead, such as one of about 1820 on Church Road and a late 18th-century house on High Road, and natural slate can take either method.
Tell us roughly how old your house is when you ask for a quote, and include a close photo of the tiles.

Can garden trees encourage moss on a Byfleet roof?
They can, since moss tends to gather where a tree's shade keeps a roof damp, and Byfleet's trees stand mostly in front and rear gardens, with few along its streets. Birch, cherry and willow are among them, and the dead leaves such trees drop tend to lodge on a roof.
If a birch, willow or other garden tree stands near your roof, photograph that slope and include it when you get in touch.
Which cleaning method suits your roof?
Your roof can be cleaned by Moss Men Surrey using manual moss removal or roof pressure washing (hot, low-pressure steam). The team checks your roof covering, its condition and access before recommending either method.
| Service | Which roofs it suits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Manual moss removal | Manual moss removal suits concrete tiles, clay tiles and natural slate. The covering and its condition decide whether scraping is right for your roof; product-specific manufacturer advice can rule it out. | From £599. |
| Roof pressure washing | Roof pressure washing suits natural slate and modern clay tiles, once the team has checked the covering, its condition, access and the manufacturer's guidance. | Starts at around £750, depending on the roof; written quote within 24 hours. |

The team were courteous, responsive and thorough. In addition to the roof treatment, Dave explained what he could do for the dirty stonework and I am very pleased with the results.

Dave and his team cleaned the roof of my semi-detached house, conservatory, and garage ealier today. Our roof had been neglected for years and was in need of some TLC. We're very satisfied with the result. They gave a fair quote. They arrived exactly on time. They removed 3 garden bags worth of moss. The garden and patio were left spotlessly clean and tidy. The roof and gutters have a new lease of life. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
